Bravo to Arrive Earlier than Expected. Is it a Nexus?

Mobile News 21 January 2010 | 2 Comments

3 Sweden has released reports that the HTC Bravo will be released on March 2010 (sadly, no prices are confirmed as of yet). This is a major update from the initial announcement that the uber Android smart phone will be released on April. The one month difference may not seem like much to some, but in the mobile industry it can mean a big difference. Take the case of the XPERIA X2, it was delayed for a month and now, Vodafone has taken the device off the shelf, never to offer it again –apparently.

If those specs sound similar, it is because the Google phone which HTC also made for Google, shares very similar specs. With the exception of the 720p HD video recording capability, the two phones are pretty much on par in terms of hardware.

But to say that the Nexus would be re-launched as the Bravo is still a bit too much of an assumption since if the leak of the Bravo and the other devices out by late 2009, the phone would have been in development at the same time as the Nexus One.

I have just seen that the HTC Bravo has been renamed as the HTC Desire and is available for pre-order from Mobile Phones Direct as of today. The handset is planning to be distributed week commencing 1st April.

This phone is set to soar and could be one of the most talked about handsets of 2010!
